The Catalyst Group www.catgroupinc.com is assisting a growing manufacturing client located outside of Scranton, PA in their search for an Automation Engineer that will be responsible for control system design and upgrades, HMI programming, control panel engineering, SCADA, and PLC programming.

This role will be responsible for planning and implementing system upgrades troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electro-mechanical systems, facility and system electrical technical drawings and documentation. There will also be a maintenance aspect to this role providing instructions and follow-up technical support for facility personnel in regards to preventative maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance with electrical safety and code requirements. Troubleshooting support of material handling and processing including robotics drive automation and improvement projects for safety and quality

ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED: BSEE. Design and manufacturing or maintenance of machine controls, process controls, and automation systems. 3+ years experience in Electrical Controls. 2+ years programming experience with PLC’s and HMI’s, VFD, and Servo Drives. Pneumatic/ hydraulic experience including symbol understanding and schematics

DESIRED: Familiarity with standard electrical codes such as NEC , NFPA, IEC, and NEMA.
