Field Service Technician-Drives

The primary function of the Field Service Technician is to provide field service engineering and technical assistance to customers in the areas of installation, testing, start-up, maintenance, repair, training and modification of electrical power distribution equipment, medium AC drives, equipment controls and rotating apparatus. Ability to work on multiple manufacturers products such as Siemens, Toshiba, Eaton, Baldor, Westinghouse ect. Individuals must be capable of self-managing assigned projects for electrical equipment, including a working knowledge of electrical test and diagnostic equipment. Equipment includes circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control centers, relays, meters, programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, transducers, contactors, ground-grid systems, switchboards, panel boards and various other electrical equipment. Candidate must be able to deliver technical solutions to customers with a high degree of professionalism.

Absolutely Required: 5-7 yrs. experience in a field service environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must with the ability to be flexible to adjust to changing field conditions. Ability to travel to customer site up to 100% is a must this will include travel outside of local area. Safety Orientated. Ability to work independently and remotely.
